One of its largest projects in this area is the National Fiber Optic Project, a project that contributes to upgrading telecommunications technology and introducing all modern services.

Construction & Rehabilitee of National Fiber-Optic Project for Sudanese Telecommunication Company (SUDATEL)
- The National fiber optic project aims to rehabilitate fiber optics networks all over Sudan, and it is considered the largest-scale telecommunication project in Sudan. This scheme contributes to promoting telecommunication technology besides introducing some modern services, ending up with the internet of things (IoT). The project aims at connecting all Sudan’s regions with a fiber-optic telecommunication system. Moreover, it provides 4G broadband services and paving the road to 5G.
- The project provides infrastructure for (FTTP) services and all modern services that use modern telecommunication protocols and the possibility of smart applications through the internet.
- The project includes:
- Stretch of (1650 Km) of fiber-optic cables in east, center, and west of Sudan, aiming to support linking west Sudan;
- Providing broadband and protection to Chad’s connection cable; and
- Strengthening and promoting the circles of central and east Sudan, which support the protection of marine lines.
